What’s the weirdest movie you’ve ever watched?
Honestly, I haven’t watched a movie in quite a while. But whenever I do, I sometimes find certain movies strange, especially those that exaggerate a small thing so much that it becomes completely detached from reality.
Some action scenes are so unrealistic and exaggerated that it feels as though there is no room left for the laws of science, the importance of nature, or even God.
I find this a little strange because when we read about or imagine a fictional world, we often give importance to science, God, and nature even in that world. We tend to see nature as something greater than ourselves and acknowledge that there are rules, forces, and mysteries in this universe that hold their own significance. Yet, sometimes, we create movies in which none of these seem to matter anymore. The action is exaggerated to such an extent that everything else gets left behind.
For me, imagination does not mean completely forgetting reality. Imagination can take us into a world that is entirely different from our own, but shouldn’t there still be room for science, God, and nature in that world?
Perhaps what I find strangest about some movies is that we take our imagination so far that we end up ignoring the very things we consider important even when imagining other worlds.”
